Salvation Army will pick up for no charge. Items to be on the main level or garage. Call
to schedule a pick up time. They have 3 ton and 5 ton trucks.
A non-profit organization working toward a world where everyone has a safe, affordable place to live. Their mission is to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing and promoting homeownership as a means of breaking the cycle of poverty.
Donations can be
• building materials, such as useable lumber, new drywall, insulation etc
• cabinets, kitchen and bathroom
• doors (must be less than 10 years old)
• furniture – limited to sizes and stock they already have
• hardware and tools
• home decor
• lighting/electrical (less than 10 years old)
• new flooring material, carpet, underlay, tiles, hardwood and laminate
• paint, primer,stains,or varathanes (full cans only)
• plumbing, sinks, faucets,bathtubs,showers
• seasonal, outdoor tools and patio furniture
• windows (must be less than 5 years old) Habitat For Humanity will pick up at no charge. They prefer everything being donated be either in your garage or main floor only.
The Calgary Public Library Foundation accepts donations of materials at community libraries and funds raised are invested back into the library.

Re-Matt recycles mattress from both business and residential customers into their raw materials (wood, foam, felt, metal etc.) These raw materials will be reused as new products. Re-Matt dismantles the box spring and/or mattress and about 95% of the materials are reused. They support Alberta local businesses by sending these raw materials to local manufacturers.
There is an $80 initial charge for pick up. Then $15 per piece.
WINS gratefully accepts a wide variety of gently used and new items to be sold in our stores, and offered free of charge to women in need through our Free Goods Referral Program. Your donations help transform the lives of families in Calgary.

Baby / Children’s equipment – cribs, cradles, bassinets, high chairs, swings, bath seats or bath rings, baby walkers, car seats, booster seats, strollers or carriages, playpens, and safety gates.
Baby bottles or nipples that are unpackaged
Blinds or rods that are custom cut or have been used
Beds- bunk beds, waterbeds, box spring without mattress, king size mattresses or stained and ripped mattresses
Electrical or plumbing fixtures (hood fans, ceiling fans, pipes, etc.)
Flat screen TV with large back components, TV’s or Stereo units in consoles Gas Powered lawn mowers and trimmers
Hazardous goods (paint, aerosols, fuels and chemicals). Call 311 for locations to safely dispose of these goods.
Large Appliances – (stoves, washers, dryers, freezers, dishwashers) Metal or L-shaped desks
Pianos or large organs
Plastic goods with P7 Code
Single upholstered chairs not part of a couch, love seat or two chair set, single dining chair
Suitcases and luggage
Toiletries that have been opened (shampoo, lotions, etc.) Used helmets (ski, hockey, bicycle or in-line).
Used plastic storage ware or canning jars
VHS, tape decks, record players, 8 tracks, cable boxes, cassettes tapes, and albums.
No charge for pick up. They ask for you to schedule a time.
